Nici is a private, filesystem-first assistant. The tenant owner is the data controller for their workspace; the Nici operator processes only the data needed to run the service.

What Nici stores

Your vault content and attachments live in your tenant vault. Nici also stores the minimum control-plane data needed for access, cost caps, audits, and reliable delivery. Usage and metrics are counters, never message content.

Why it is processed

Nici processes content to answer requests, maintain your vault, enforce your configured spend cap, and provide the features you explicitly use. It does not sell personal data or use your vault as advertising data.

Google sign-in

Google Sign-In provides the basic identity information needed to create and secure your Nici account. Nici does not currently access your Google Calendar, Gmail, or other Google Workspace data. Before Nici offers any optional Google Workspace connection, this policy and the in-product connection notice will be updated with the exact data, purpose, storage, and sharing practices.

Retention and access

Vault content remains until you export or offboard. Session transcripts use the configured rolling retention window; audit entries contain attribution and metadata, not full note bodies. The operator may access service metadata and, when needed to support or secure the service, tenant data. This access is logged and limited to operating Nici.
